AILA Latin America and Caribbean Chapter Conference
Barst Mukamal & Kleiner LLP Partner Alexis S. Axelrad will speak at the American Immigration Lawyers Association Latin America and Caribbean Chapter (LACC) Conference in Santa Fe on December 3, 2021.
The panel discussion, entitled “Hot Topics,” will include a conference participant interactive session on Consulate adjudication trends and alerts. Alexis and the other panelists will discuss backlogs at different Consulates in the wake of COVID-19; how to obtain information clients have already provided to government agencies and ethical issues; remote offices and the impact on H visa applicants; significant changes at CIS, CBP, DOS, ICE and legislation; what the Biden administration has done to benefit the immigration community; and a Department of Labor update on wages. The session is scheduled for the second day of the two-day conference from 8:45-10 a.m. RMT.
